About Hannah

It is a privilege to represent Livingston as I was born and raised here in Craigshill and attended Broxburn Academy as a child. I later attended the University of Stirling and began my career in commercial television with STV Glasgow and GMTV London, as the Assistant Producer on their political show, ‘The Sunday Programme’. Then I began my work with the SNP. In 2007, I worked on the central campaign team, producing and presenting SNPtv online. For the next three years, I managed Alex Salmond’s constituency office while he was an MSP and MP and also worked for Ian Hudghton MEP. I later moved on to work for the U.S. State Department in the Edinburgh Consulate, managing protocol, events and press. For the three years before getting elected, I worked in the oil and gas sector: initially, with Subsea 7, and then as Head of Communications & Marketing for the UK, Africa & Norway with the oil and gas service company, Stork. I was elected in the 2015 UK general election and again in the 2017 general election to represent Livingston as your MP. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and singing, creative writing, the arts, and musical theatre. I am also enthusiastic about the Scottish outdoors and enjoy surfing, golfing, watching most sports – but in particular, football and rugby.
