About Hannah

Hannah was born and raised in Craigshill, Livingston, and attended Broxburn Academy. A graduate of the University of Stirling, she began her career in commercial television at STV in Glasgow and then GMTV in London as the Assistant Producer on their political show, ‘The Sunday
Programme.’

In 2007 Hannah began working for the SNP in roles including Constituency Manager to Alex Salmond before taking up a position with the U.S State Department in the Edinburgh Consulate, managing protocol, events and press.

For the three years preceding her election, Hannah worked in the oil and gas industry, initially with Subsea 7, and then as Head of Communications and Marketing for the UK, Africa and Norway with oil and gas service company, Stork.

Hannah was elected in the 2015 UK general election, and re-elected in the 2017 and 2019, to represent Livingston. In her spare time, she enjoys playing guitar and singing, creative writing and the arts. Hannah is enthusiastic about the Scottish outdoors and enjoys surfing and golfing, as well as watching most sports – but in particular, football and rugby.
