Internal Market Bill – Lords’ Amendments

I voted against the Internal Market Bill in Commons stages as the legislation breaks international law and devolution. In a further rejection of this destructive bill, the House of Lords have also voted against provisions which would enable the Tory government to break international law.

President-Elect Joe Biden has warned any breach of the Withdrawal Agreement or backsliding on the UKG’s commitment to the Good Friday Agreement will impact on relations between the UK and USA. From the Church of Scotland to the General Teaching Council of Scotland – businesses and communities are speaking out against the Bill.

I will continue to vote against such destructive amendments.
